Montgomery- The Montgomery Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Celebration Planning Committee announces a revised 2023 schedule of events slated to begin January 12-16. This year’s celebration theme is “Time to build…”  
 
All weekend events will commemorate the remarkable leader's advocacy for racial equality, voting rights, economic justice, and international peace. The celebration will acknowledge Montgomery as the birthplace of the civil rights movement and promote collaboration throughout the river region. The revised events include:
