The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks Premieres at the Tribeca Festival

New York, NY-  The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks premiered at the Tribeca Festival on Thursday, June 16, at 6:00p.m. at the Village East Cinema, 181-189 2nd Ave, New York, NY. Immediately following the premiere, Directors Yoruba Richen and Johanna Hamilton, hosted a Q&A.

Civil rights movement leaders, Claudette Colvin and Doris Crenshaw were interviewed and featured in the telling of Mrs. Park’s story. Ashley Roseboro, CEO of Roseboro Holdings, was in attendance representing his clients, the civil rights leaders.

Based on the bestselling biography by Jeanne Theoharis and executive produced by award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien, this crucial documentary on the “mother of the Civil Rights movement,” Rosa Parks, is a comprehensive telling of the icon’s lifelong dedication to activism. The film chronicles her historic role in the Montgomery Bus Boycott, her work in politics alongside Congressman John Conyers in Detroit, and the many causes along the way, such as voting rights and reparations, that she fearlessly championed until her death in 2005.

The Tribeca  Festival was marked by the presence of several celebrities, actors, directors, producers, sponsors and cinematographers which gave a great launch to the documentary.

The documentary will premier later in 2022 on Peacock.
